Frequently Asked Questions About the Ruben's Run Foundation
How much does it cost?
$25.00 Donation per person. This will give you access to the motorcycle run, entrance to the Post Run Celebration, a food and drink ticket. If you take part in the Donation Pledge Drive and raise a minimum of $50.00, the above donation is waived and you will receive a goodie bag.
What happens to the ride if it rains on June 8th?
The ride will take place on June 8th, rain or shine. There are also covered facilities at Galt Airport. Feel free to come to the party by car even if you are not going to ride.
How long will the ride take?
The suggested route is approximately 2 hours riding time with a half way point, So the total ride time depends on how long you are at the halfway point.
Is it possible to register after 11:00 a.m. on the day of the ride?
Yes. Registration will be open at Woodstock Harley Davidson (the official start point) starting at 9:00am until 11:00 a.m. If you can’t make the Ride but would like to attend and participate in the Post Run Party, there will be a registration booth at the destination point, at Galt Airport in Greenwood, IL. from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
How will I know the route if I miss the departure with a Road Captain?
Each registration kit will include a detailed map of the suggested route. The registration desk at Woodstock Harley Davidson, the official start point, will remain open until 11:15 a.m. The route is also marked with directional signs.
Can I bring my children with me?
Registered children are most welcome at the event. Please note that there is no supervision provided for children and their safety is the responsibility of their parents or guardian. The cost of registering a child is $25.00 donation to gain entrance to the event, one Food and Drink ticket.
Where Can I Pre-register?

Registrations must be post-marked by May 26, 2008, to qualify for pre-registration (bonus draw tickets).
How do I receive my draw tickets if I pre-register?
A separate pre-registration desk will be set up at Woodstock Harley Davidson, which will have a list of pledge sheets received through pre-registration. If you have pre-registered, you will receive TWO draw tickets for every $50.00 donated.
Do I get an extra draw ticket if I register at the Kick Off Party?
Yes, riders who register at the Kick Off Party at the Tailgate Party, on Saturday, June 7, 2008, will receive one bonus draw ticket.
Will each donor receive a charitable donation tax receipt?
The Salvation Army will mail an official charitable donation tax receipt for all donations that are $20.00 or more. Therefore, it is necessary for each pledge form to be entirely completed. Please ensure that all names and addresses are NEATLY PRINTED, so that tax receipts can be processed through.
Will I, as the rider, get a charitable donation tax receipt?
Yes, if you have personally donated $20.00 or more and CLEARLY PRINTED your name on a pledge form line as well as the registration form. Please insure that all names and addresses are neatly printed, so that tax receipts can be processed.
Can I join the fun to support The Ruben Brown Motorcycle Run even though I don't have a motorcycle?
Yes. Anyone raising $50.00 or more is eligible to participate in the Ride and associated activities. There is parking for other motor vehicles at Galt Airport, the destination point of the Ride.
Do I have to be present to win a draw prize?
Yes.
How can I arrange for another pick-up date for the large draw prizes I am eligible to win on Sunday, June 8, 2008?
An alternate pick-up site will be arranged for draw prize winners whose prize is too large to take home with them on the day of the event.
What time is the event over?
The events at the destination point, Galt Airport, are expected to conclude somewhere around 5:00 p.m. or thereabouts, on June 8, 2008, the day of the Ride.
What time will the drawing for prizes begin?
The prize draws are scheduled to begin sometime after 3:00 pm at the destination point, Galt Airport, on June 8, 2008, the day of the Ride.
Are the incentive prizes cumulative?
Yes, they indeed are. Please refer to the Prize level chart for details.
Must I ride the entire suggested / designated route, or can I take my own route to Galt Airport?
You can take any route you want to Galt Airport, keeping in mind that if you don't leave from the designated starting point, Woodstock Harley Davidson, the registration desk at Galt Airport will not be open until 12:00 p.m. It will remain open until 2:00 p.m.
Can my passenger/guest go to Galt Airport by car instead of riding?
The passenger/guest of a rider/fundraiser may be on a bike or driving a car, but they will have to show the official passenger/guest pass in order to gain entrance to the destination point, Galt Airport.
Will alcohol be served at the destination point, Galt Airport?
Yes, both alcohol and non-alcohol beverages will be served at the events associated with the Ride on the grounds of Galt Airport.
How can I increase my chances to win the S & S Engine or other great prizes?
Pre-registering ONLINE by May 26, 2008 will DOUBLE the number of tickets you get.
How can my passengers/guests be eligible for prizes?
Passengers are just as eligible as riders, providing they register, and depending upon how much money they raised (the minimum being $50.00, earning one draw ticket).
Who is eligible for prizes?
All registered riders/fundraisers who are present during the draws. All Ruben Brown Run Team members, the Salvation Army staff, and their immediate families are NOT ELIGIBLE for prizes.
